Are there any signs of freemasons in Tanzania?

Freemasonry has been present in Tanzania since the early 20th century. The first lodge, Lodge Kilimanjaro, was established in Dar es Salaam in 1923 under the Grand Lodge of England.

Over the years, several other lodges have been established, including Lodge Acacia, Lodge Ashlar, and Lodge Hiram Abiff. These lodges are primarily composed of expatriates, businesspeople, and professionals, but there are also a few Tanzanian members.

Freemasonry is not widely known in Tanzania, and its presence is not particularly visible. This is due in part to the fact that Freemasons are generally discreet about their membership and activities. Additionally, Tanzania has a predominantly Muslim and Christian population, and Freemasonry is often associated with Christianity and Western culture.

Despite this, Freemasonry continues to exist in Tanzania, and it is likely that there are many more Freemasons in the country than are publicly known.
