Why are the Maldives so hot all year round?

The Maldives are located just above the equator, so they are very close to the sun. This means that they receive more direct sunlight throughout the year than most other places on Earth. The average temperature in the Maldives is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius), and it doesn't vary much from month to month. The humidity is also very high, which makes the air feel even warmer.

As well as being close to the equator, the Maldives are surrounded by the Indian Ocean. This helps to keep the temperature stable and moderate, as the water absorbs heat from the sun and then releases it slowly.

The Maldives' climate is ideal for tourism, as it is warm and sunny all year round. However, it can also be a bit too much for some people, especially during the hottest months of April and May.
