Do all people originate from Ethiopia?
The theory that all humans originated in Ethiopia is known as the "Out of Africa" theory. According to this theory, modern humans (Homo sapiens) evolved first in sub-Saharan Africa around 200,000 to 300,000 years ago. Then, a group of these Homo sapiens left Africa and went through Asia to populate what is now Europe and other regions. So humans did not originally evolve only in Ethiopia but rather in larger area of Sub-Sahara Africa.
