What is Angola a MEDC or LEDC?

Angola is considered a lower-middle-income country (LMIC) by the World Bank. As of 2021, Angola's GDP per capita was $4,113, placing it in the lower range of LMICs. The country has experienced steady economic growth in recent years, but its economy remains heavily dependent on oil exports, which makes it vulnerable to fluctuations in global oil prices. Angola also faces significant challenges in terms of poverty, inequality, and corruption. Despite these challenges, the country has made progress in improving its human development indicators, including life expectancy, literacy rates, and access to education and healthcare.
