Making the best choice when picking out a hotel in Johannesburg depends a lot on where you want to go in the mornings. Johannesburg traffic in the morning can delay you for an hour or more, so it's worth considering.

Johannesburg can be divided into four sections -- the North, South, East and West. The M1 basically cuts the city in an East and West block, providing access to the North and South, while the N1 serves the West and the N3 the East.
