When was Asia found?

The term "Asia" originated from the Greek word Ἀσία (Asia) which was first used in the 5th century BC by Greek historians Herodotus and Hecataeus of Miletus. It is believed that the name "Asia" comes from the name of the nymph Asia, who was the daughter of the titan Oceanus and the titanide Tethys in Greek mythology.
