Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Singapore is a sovereign island city-state in Southeast Asia, 137 km north of the equator. Comprising one main island and 63 satellites, it covers 728.6 km² with 5.7 million residents.
Founded in 1819 by Sir Stamford Raffles as a British trading post, it became a crown colony in 1867. After a brief merger with Malaysia (1963–65), Singapore gained full independence in 1965.
