Was Singapore affected by the Japan tsunami?

Singapore was not directly affected by the 2011 Japan tsunami. The tsunami generated by the magnitude 9.0 Tohoku earthquake had a major impact on Japan, but its effects were largely limited to the country's eastern coastline and the immediate surrounding region. Singapore, which is located approximately 5,000 kilometers away from Japan, was too distant to experience any significant impact from the tsunami.
