How big is the southeast Asian rain forest?
The Southeast Asian rainforest is one of the largest rainforests in the world, covering an area of approximately 2.5 million square kilometres (965,000 square miles). It stretches from Myanmar in the west to the Philippines and Indonesia in the east, and from Thailand and Vietnam in the north to Singapore and Malaysia in the south. The rainforest is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life, including many endangered species.
