Daily Earnings of Beggars in Sydney: What Studies Show

Estimating daily income for people begging in Sydney is challenging due to variable locations, weather, foot traffic, and reluctance to disclose earnings. However, academic studies provide snapshots:

• UNSW 2014 study: Average ~AUD $20/hour.
• University of Sydney 2016 study: Average ~AUD $10/hour.

These small-sample studies may not represent all individuals, and earnings fluctuate widely. Income can vary significantly day-to-day and seasonally.
