In Australia when do you put up the Christmas tree?
Christmas is during summer in Australia, so traditionally Christmas trees are put up from the first week of December - a month before Christmas day to allow for the hot weather which dries out most real pine trees very quickly! Some Australians put them up on December 1st while some wait closer to Christmas to put trees up so they look fresher longer because of heat.
Some Australians also opt for fake trees or even beach-themed Christmas trees (or no tree at all) due to the heat.
