To be eligible for a Visitor visa, you must:
- Be the partner of an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Be outside of Australia when you apply for the visa
- Intend to stay in Australia for no longer than 12 months
- Be able to financially support yourself during your stay in Australia
- Have adequate health insurance
- Meet the health and character requirements
You will also need to provide certain documentation with your visa application, such as:
- Your passport
- A copy of your birth certificate
- A copy of your marriage certificate
- Evidence of your relationship with your husband
- Evidence of your financial means
