When was old Montreal built?
Old Montreal is the oldest area in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 1642 by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve and Jeanne Mance. Old Montreal is located on the Saint Lawrence River and is home to many historical buildings and landmarks, including the Notre-Dame Basilica, the Saint-Paul Street, the Bonsecours Market, and the Pointe-à-Callière Museum of Archaeology and History.
