Are the Himalayas in the Arctic? No—They're in High Asia

The Himalayas stretch across South/Central Asia (India, Nepal, Bhutan, China, Pakistan), roughly 27°–36° N latitude. The Arctic begins at 66.5° N (Arctic Circle). The two are separated by ~3,000 km and entirely different climatic zones.

Confusion may arise because both have permanent ice/snow, but the Himalayas are alpine (high-altitude) while the Arctic is polar (high-latitude).
