Where is martinique?

Martinique is an overseas department and region of France located in the Caribbean Sea. It is a volcanic island located about 450 miles northeast of Venezuela and about 175 miles south of Dominica. Martinique is part of the Lesser Antilles and lies between the islands of Dominica and Saint Lucia. It is the northernmost of the Windward Islands and has a total area of 425 square miles. Martinique has a population of approximately 385,000 people and its capital city is Fort-de-France.
