Why did the coushatta move frequently along border between Louisiana and texas?

The Coushatta were a Native American tribe who originally lived in the southeastern United States. They were forced to move to Louisiana in the early 19th century, and then to Texas in the mid-19th century. They eventually settled in Oklahoma, where they remain today.
