India's Inland Plateau (Peninsular Plateau): Geography, Resources, and Cities

The Peninsular Plateau (Deccan Plateau)—often called the Inland Plateau—is India's oldest and most stable landmass, covering much of Central and South India. It is a geologically ancient shield of crystalline rocks, distinct from the young Himalayas and the alluvial Indo-Gangetic Plain.
