Which Countries Border El Salvador?

El Salvador, Central America's smallest and most densely populated nation, shares land borders with three countries:

• Guatemala – to the west and northwest (~203 km)
• Honduras – to the north and east (~342 km)
• Nicaragua – to the southeast (~198 km, via the Gulf of Fonseca maritime boundary)

To the south lies the Pacific Ocean (307 km coastline). El Salvador is the only Central American country without a Caribbean coast.
