Time Difference: Arizona vs. Central Time Zone

Arizona (Mountain Standard Time, UTC-7 year-round) is 1 hour behind the Central Time Zone (UTC-6 / UTC-5 with DST).

• When Central is on Standard Time (CST, UTC-6), Arizona is 1 hour behind.
• When Central observes Daylight Saving (CDT, UTC-5), Arizona is 2 hours behind.

Because Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time (except the Navajo Nation), the gap shifts seasonally. Always double-check before scheduling cross-zone calls.
