Christianity is the dominant religion in Central America. Roman Catholicism is the most widely practiced religion, followed by Protestantism. According to a 2010 study by the Pew Research Center, 84% of the population of Central America is Christian. Of those, 62% are Catholic, 21% are Protestant, and 2% belong to other Christian denominations.
