Panama Canal Cruises

The Panama Canal, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world, opened in 1914 under the control of the United States. Designed and constructed by the United States, it was intended to shorten the often treacherous passage that boats were forced to take around the southern tip of South America to transport cargo from one side of the world to the other. Today, the 48-mile long passage is under the control of the Panamanian government but continues attract visitors from both sides of the world to take a trip through this engineering marvel.
