America is it rich or poor?

The United States is a wealthy country by most measures. It has the largest economy in the world, with a gross domestic product (GDP) of more than $21 trillion. The U.S. also has a high GDP per capita, meaning that its citizens are relatively wealthy. In 2020, the U.S. GDP per capita was $69,288.

However, the United States also has a high level of income inequality. The richest 1% of Americans own more than 32% of the country's wealth, while the bottom 50% of Americans own less than 3%. This means that many Americans live in poverty or near-poverty. In 2020, the U.S. poverty rate was 11.4%, meaning that more than 37 million Americans were living in poverty.

So, is America rich or poor? The answer is both. It is a wealthy country with a high GDP and GDP per capita. However, it also has a high level of income inequality, which means that many Americans live in poverty or near-poverty.
