When did Scotland join the European Union?

Scotland has never joined the European Union. The United Kingdom, of which Scotland is a part, was a member of the EU until its withdrawal on January 31st, 2020. In 2014, Scotland held a referendum on independence from the UK, but voters chose to remain part of the UK.
