Do people speak French in Zurich?

Zurich is a city in Switzerland, and the most widely spoken language in Switzerland is German. Although there are four national languages in Switzerland (German, French, Italian and Romansh), the local language in and around Zurich is Swiss German. While there are areas in Switzerland where French is the more common language, Zurich is not one of them. However, due to the diverse and international nature of the city, many people, especially in the business community, may understand or even speak French.
