Economy Tours in Italy

Italy can be an expensive destination, and the highly valued euro is not helping matters. There are, however, economy tours of the country that can make it more affordable. Tour operators take advantage of being able to purchase hotel rooms in bulk, and those savings are passed along to their customers. Group tours are also a good value because many people traveling together lower transportation costs. Unless otherwise stated, land-only tour costs are approximately $100-175 per person, per day (including all ground transportation, tour guide services and admission to most sites where applicable, breakfasts, and hotel accommodations, based on 2010 prices). All stated prices are based on double occupancy.
