Villa San Giovanni and Messina are separated by the Strait of Messina which is one of the world's busiest shipping lanes. There are three different ferry companies - Siremar, Bluvia, Caronte & Tourist - providing crossings during most hours of the day, taking under thirty minutes to complete their crossings.
