Caspian Sea is the world's largest inland body of water, bordered by Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Its surface area is approximately 371,000 square kilometers (143,244 square miles) and its maximum depth is about 1,025 meters (3,363 feet). The Caspian Sea is located about 28 meters (92 feet) below sea level, making it the lowest point on land on Earth.
