Can you convert a full UK driving license to an Irish license?

- Be a resident of the Republic of Ireland.

- Have a valid UK driving license.

- Have been driving for at least 12 months.

- Have passed the Irish theory test.

- Pass an eyesight test.

- Provide a valid passport or other proof of identity.

- Provide proof of residency in Ireland.

- Pay a fee of €55.

Once you have submitted all the required documents and passed the theory test, you will be issued with an Irish driving license.

Please note that if you have held your UK driving license for less than 12 months, you will not be eligible to convert it to an Irish license. In this case, you must apply for a provisional Irish driving license and pass the practical driving test.
