What is unusual about most rivers in Mexico?
Most rivers in Mexico are not very long because the Continental Divide is close to the Pacific Ocean. As a result, rivers flowing to the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea in the east are much longer than ones draining into the Pacific in the west.
