Robert Falcon Scott who led two British expeditions to the Antarctic regions was born in Devonport in Plymouth England his parents moved to Cardiff when he was young and he moved with them. As a result a statue of scott exists in Roath park the suburb of cardiff he grew up in in and Scott road is named after him
