How is mining in Hawaii?
There is very little commercial mining in Hawaii due to a combination of environmental regulations, lack of economically viable mineral deposits, and a focus on preserving the natural beauty of the islands. While there are instances of small-scale mining operations, especially for aggregate materials used in construction such as sand, gravel, and basalt, there are no active metal or mineral mines operating on a large scale. The state primarily relies on importing raw materials and finished products from outside sources.
