Where is figi located?
Fiji is an archipelagic state located in the
south Pacific Ocean, about
1,100 nautical miles (2,000 km) northeast of New Zealand. Its closest neighbours are
Vanuatu to the west,
New Caledonia to the northwest,
Tuvalu to the northeast,
Kiribati to the east, and
Tonga to the southeast.
Fiji consists of an archipelago of more than 332 islands and 500 islets, of which about 110 are permanently inhabited. The largest islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, which account for 87% of the country's total land area. The capital city is Suva, which is located on Viti Levu.
