Palacio Legislativo

Also called the National Congress, Honduras National Congress, or Congress of the Republic, the Palacio Legislativo is seat of the Honduran National Congress. It was built in 1954 and officially inaugurated on December 3, 1956, by President Julio Lozano Diaz. The building was designed by architect Mario A. Favilli, and features three stories, with a main entrance marked by a colonnade. The interior is decorated with murals, paintings, and sculptures by Honduran artists. The Palacio Legislativo is located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and serves as the official meeting place of the National Congress, which is composed of 128 deputies elected for four-year terms.
