Were will you find Cajun people in north America?

Louisiana

The largest concentration of Cajun people in North America is found in the state of Louisiana, particularly in the southern part of the state, including the Acadiana region. This region encompasses several parishes or counties, such as Lafayette, St. Martin, Vermilion, Acadia, and St. Landry. Many Cajuns also reside in the greater New Orleans area, including the parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Bernard.

Cajuns migrated from the Canadian maritime provinces to Louisiana starting in the 18th century after being exiled from their homeland during the British colonization. They settled in the southern part of the state, which at the time was under French rule, and established Cajun communities that have preserved much of their unique language, culture, and traditions.
