Mississippi River which continent is it from?

The Mississippi River is located in North America and flows entirely within the United States. It is the second-longest river in North America, after the Missouri River, and the fourth-longest river in the world. The Mississippi River originates at Lake Itasca in Minnesota and flows south through the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Louisiana before emptying into the Gulf of Mexico.
