Exotic Thai opened to Ocala patrons in the spring of 2010, the newest branch of a family-owned restaurant with other locations in Lafayette and Hamilton, Indiana. Exotic Thai offers both lunch and dinner menus. The lunch menu offers traditional Thai cuisine at reduced prices, with over 25 dishes on offer. For dinner, an expanded menu includes Thai soups, such as the coconut milk-based tom kha gai, with different soups served daily. Traditionalists can order pad thai, the perennial favorite, or one of the restaurant's curries, as spicy as you please. If you're vegetarian, Exotic Thai can prepare any of the dishes on the menu to suit your dietary needs. According to the Ocala Star-Banner, patrons can anticipate a tastefully appointed ambiance and speedy service.

Royal Orchid offers a range of traditional Thai specialties with a focus on authentic Asian atmosphere. Previously known as Thai Ruby Ocala, the restaurant remains under the same management. Walls are lined with Thai textiles and decorations. Some of the more exotic dishes include "Two Friends Panang," a mixture of chicken, shrimp and asparagus with the traditional light panang curry sauce. For a show-stopping main course, you can order several preparations of roast duck. Should your dietary needs prescribe a more limited meal, the flexible kitchen can even prepare macrobiotic dishes. According to Ocala Magazine, some of the signature dishes include the pad thai with chicken as well as a shrimp curry and the "fancy" lobster.
