What were some of the main structures Machu Picchu city?

The Intihuatana - A carved outcropping of rock possibly used for astronomical observations or religious rituals.

Torreón- A semicircular tower made out of gigantic stones at the very top of Machu Picchu.

Temple of the Three Windows- Constructed out of finely cut rocks and featured windows facing Mount Salcantay.

Temple of the Sun- Built near a rock that was carved into the shape of the sun. The roof of the temple is believed to have been covered in gold.

Royal Mausoleum- Houses a large carved rock that has multiple chambers leading in different directions.

Main Square- Located at the center of Machu Picchu, it connects a number of buildings.

Royal Palace- It is home to the biggest rock in the city of Machu Picchu. It was believed that the royal family lived here.
