Who first explored Georgia?

The first documented Europeans to explore Georgia were the Spanish explorers Juan Ponce de León and Lucas Vázquez de Ayllón. De León landed on the coast of what is now Georgia in 1521, while Ayllón established a short-lived colony on the coast in 1526.
