Why is Hong Kong called fragrant harbor?

The name "Hong Kong" is derived from the Cantonese pronunciation of the characters 香港, which literally mean "fragrant harbor". The name is thought to have originated from the fragrant wood that was once used to make incense and other products in the area. The wood was so fragrant that it was said to perfume the entire harbor, hence the name "fragrant harbor".
