Beaches in Santiago, Chile? None—It's Landlocked

Santiago, Chile's capital, lies in the central valley, ~100 km from the Pacific Ocean. It has no beaches. Coastal cities like Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, and Concón (1.5–2 hours west) provide beach access.

Santiago's geography—Andes to the east, coastal range to the west—places it firmly inland.
