Geckos are some of the most common animals on the Fijian islands. However, if you are looking for them in broad daylight, your chances of spotting one are small because they come out at night to feast on insects. Geckos are smaller than the size of the human hand. Several species of geckos are on the Fijian islands, including Gehrya oceanica, which has dark green scales and black stripes, and the Lepidodactylus lugubris, which has light green scales with black spots.
This sea snake roams the waters around the Fijian islands and can be spotted by its black and white stripes.
