How many states are in the pacific regions?

The Pacific region of the United States consists of five states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. Additionally, two island areas, Guam and American Samoa, are considered part of the Pacific region politically and geographically. These two island areas, along with other Pacific island U.S. territories and states, often share cultural and geographic characteristics, forming the collective definition of the Pacific Islands region.
