Legend of the Tower of London Ravens

According to centuries-old legend, if the ravens ever leave the Tower of London, the Kingdom will fall and Britain will be defeated. At least six ravens are kept at the Tower at all times by the Ravenmaster (a Yeoman Warder). Their wings are clipped to prevent flight. The birds are cared for as royal wards, and their presence is seen as a safeguard for the monarchy and the nation.
