Surrey is not part of London.
It is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan county in South East England that borders Greater London to the northeast.
Historically, parts of modern South London (e.g., Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth) were in Surrey until 1889/1965 boundary changes. Today, Surrey's districts (e.g., Guildford, Woking, Epsom) are outside the Greater London boundary.
