How did great Britain react ti the proclamation of American neutrality in 1793?

The British government reacted negatively to the United States' Proclamation of Neutrality in 1793. They saw it as a sign that the United States was leaning towards supporting France in the current war between Britain and France. This was a concern for Britain, as they relied on the United States for trade and did not want the United States to get involved in the war on the side of France.

In response to the Proclamation of Neutrality, the British government took several steps to put pressure on the United States. They began seizing American ships that were trading with France and they also impressed American sailors into the British navy. This caused a great deal of anger and resentment in the United States and contributed to the growing tensions between the two countries that eventually led to the War of 1812.
