How many lorries are there in UK?

There are about 4.5 million commercial vehicles in the United Kingdom. Of these, 2.3 million are heavy goods vehicles, which are typically defined as vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 3.5 tonnes. This includes lorries, trucks and buses. The other 2.2 million commercial vehicles are light goods vehicles, which are typically defined as vehicles with a GVW of less than 3.5 tonnes. This includes vans, cars and motorcycles.
