How did the children get back to house in England?

In the story "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", the four children (Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie) do not get back to their home in England through the wardrobe. Instead, they return home through a magical portal in the forest near their house.
