Who invaded England in the 1st century?

The Romans invaded England in the 1st century. The Roman invasion of Britain was a series of military campaigns and political manoeuvres by the Roman Empire that began in AD 43 and ended in AD 84, resulting in the conquest and occupation of much of the island of Great Britain by the Roman army. The invasion was ordered by the emperor Claudius and led by Aulus Plautius.
