How does the UK not have hot heat weather?

The United Kingdom does experience hot weather, although it is not as common as in some other parts of the world. The average temperature in the UK is around 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit), and the average maximum temperature in the summer is around 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit). However, there have been a number of heat waves in the UK in recent years, with temperatures reaching as high as 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit).
