Who created the buckingham palace?

Buckingham Palace was originally a large town house built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703. It was acquired by King George III in 1761 and subsequently enlarged to form the present palace. The palace was expanded and remodelled throughout the 19th century, particularly during the reign of Queen Victoria.
